Martin Baker personifies the tradition of English cathedral music like no other. As organist and choirmaster, he has held prestigious positions, improvising his audiences to heavenly heights, and doing so with a musical twinkle in his eye.

At Buckfast Abbey, whose Ruffatti organ he inaugurated in concert in 2018, he presents an all-British program – with the exception of Bach’s immortal “Chaconne” for solo violin, which is heard in an organ arrangement.
