This year marks the 31st International Organ Festival in the “Italian Capital of Culture” – Bergamo and Brescia. Once again, the festival features musicians of the highest profile and charisma. The Festival continues at the Cathedral featuring Sietze de Vries, one of the most distinguished improvisers in the world.

The following concert takes place on the small meantonic organ in the church of the Beata Vergine del Giglio. Wolfgang Zerer, one of the leading experts of early music in the whole of Europe, brings with him music from Scheidemann and Froberger to Frescobaldi.

David Briggs, current Artist-in-Residence at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York, concludes the Fetsival with his own transcriptions of two beautiful symphonies by Brahms and Schumann.
