Bach’s complete organ works in a single day? A record-breaking marathon played by Alexander Fiseisky in Düsseldorf in the Bach Year 2000. For decades, Fiseisky has been shaping the organ scene in Russia, be it as a concert organist, as a professor at the Russian Gnessin Academy of Music and other institutes, as an organ expert, book author and artistic director of various festivals. As a versatile virtuoso, he is Russia’s musical ambassador throughout Europe, North America and the Far East. Bach and Handel are not the only focal points of his extensive repertoire. He is equally committed to contemporary music and is the dedicatee of numerous compositions.

Bachs Orgel-Gesamtwerk an einem einzigen Tag? Ein rekordverdächtiger Marathon, den Alexander Fiseisky im Bach-Jahr 2000 in Düsseldorf gespielt hat. Seit Jahrzehnten prägt Fiseisky die Orgelszene in Russland, sei es als Konzertorganist, als Professor an der Russischen Gnessin Musikakademie und anderen Instituten, als Orgelsachverständiger, Buchautor und künstlerischer Leiter diverser Festivals. Als vielseitiger Virtuose ist er musikalischer Botschafter Russlands in ganz Europa, Nordamerika und Fernost. Nicht nur Bach und Händel sind Schwerpunkte seines umfassenden Repertoires. Genauso setzt er sich für zeitgenössische Musik ein und ist Widmungsträger zahlreicher Kompositionen.
